Protection of personal data in Kosovo

One of the most controversial aspects of online sales is related to payment methods. Virtual stores usually offer several alternatives. They should not impose any specifics on you, but the current legislation protects you so that you can choose the payment method that best suits your personal characteristics.

On the other hand, you shall perform the payment process with due diligence when you use your account. You shall not miss some of these actions from the company’s website:

The clearance (security certificate) shall approve the operation without any issue. Unfortunately, you may find stores that do not provide clearance.

Check if the website has a block enabled in the address bar. You can easily detect and will be the best indicator that the whole process is running as you expected from the beginning.

It should consist of the store’s address to indicate that you are dealing with e secure domain. It should start with https: it will be the best way to know that you are not dealing with an illegal or fraudulent store.

If you see that the place where you are going to purchase provides all these signals, you will be in perfect position to purchase without any risk or incident that could affect the purchase of any commercial product.

You may not know, but offline and online shopping offers you a two-year trade-in guarantee for all types of products or services that will automatically run on the client. Some stores may provide you the option of not having this period of exchange for a small discount on the item.

It will be a decision that will depend entirely on your interest. Due to any incidents, technical and logistical, it will not provide you with any protection against incidents that may occur during the purchase.

It is always convenient to take advantage of this clause to avoid unexpected situations on the part of customers, especially for purchasing products abroad or simply because they are too complex to repair.

Another right that users have, although in this case, with greater complexity in its implementation, is directly related to the ability to receive personalized attention.

In this sense, the current regulation in the e-commerce field allows customers to contact the digital store. For this reason, this class of business should include one or more of the following contacts on their website:

  • Email shall be sent from business and never from a private address.

  • Landline or mobile phone numbers shall be with a local prefix.

  • Other forms of personal communication are social networks, offices, etc.

  • Customers may use them to establish direct communication or directly generate a faster response from the company.

If for some reason, this information is not present, you shall be skeptical of his intentions. Or at least for violation of some rights those consumers have.
